Alaska Organizing

We are building up the Prohibition Party in Tennessee, and you can help make it happen.

As the Prohibition Party works to move forward, we are looking into further developing state-level organization in the State of Alaska. In 2025, the Prohibition Party gained official recognition as a Political Group. Alaskan voters can now register their affiliation with the Prohibition Party, and that affiliation will be recorded in the state's voter rolls. We are working to gain limited party status in Alaska to be able to get on the ballot in the state for the 2028 presidential election. Additionally, we are working to build our membership in Alaska, look for opportunities to run candidates in the future, and work to help good policies in the state.

State and Local Candidates

The Prohibition Party is looking for opportunities to run candidates in future elections. Ballot access requirements for U.S. Senate or House of Representatives involves a $100 filing fee and completing paperwork. The 2026 filing deadline is on June 1st. If you are a member who is interested in the possibility of running for state or local office, you can email  prohibitionists@gmail.com and we can then discuss the work that would be involved in running for office and the possibility of party endorsement.

It's Time To Build A Better Future

We are living in a time where alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs inflict widespread illness, injury, and death, and impose vast social, medical, and economic damage on our society. Where the interests of public health and protecting lives are all too often neglected and the government officials who are supposed to serve and protect the public, instead serve those that enrich themselves off exploiting, and harming, and killing members of the public. Where politicians from the two major parties have all too often failed to meet the needs of the public, where the two major parties have shown they can't fix things, and many Americans have become discouraged.

To this, we say that there is hope in forging a different path; that the way things are currently is not how they have to be. Change can happen, but it will take people working to make it happen. It may not be easy, but it is worthwhile.

The Prohibition Party offers a positive alternative to the major parties. We recognize that people have the right to come together though the democratic process to establish laws protecting their lives, rights, and vital wellbeing from abuse. We believe in ethical public service, in good governance, in protecting public health, and strengthening communities. If you agree, then come join us and help build a better future for Alaska.
